The second edition of CONVENTION A, held in March 2024, targeted partners, participants, and other interested parties from the European actuarial community. However, it also extended a warm welcome to participants worldwide: More than 1,100 actuaries, insurance experts, and speakers from 54 countries registered for the event, underscoring its global appeal.

The congress programme was jointly created by 16 partners and institutions of the European actuarial profession. Each partner selected a topic and independently hosted a 90-minute expert session, contributing to the diverse and rich congress agenda.

To kick each day off, the programme offered two plenary sessions featuring distinguished keynote speakers as a daily highlight, covering two highly relevant topics: ‚The Digital Euro and its Impact on the European Monetary System‘ and ‚Sustainability and Capital Requirements – Charting the Course for Prudent Risk Management‘.

EAA hosted its own session as part of the congress programme. Our well-known speakers Abdal Chaudhry and Michael Leitschkis presented on the topic ‘Climate Change, Mortality and Machine Learning’ on 20 March 2024, 10.30 – 12.00 CET. Learn more about the programme details here.

In September 2022, the EAA with support of www.actuview.com organized the 1st CONVENTION A as an online-only conference. More than ever before, actuarial institutions and high-level keynote speakers provided an exciting and inspiring programme on the latest topics for actuaries of all specialties and offered an attractive and unique networking experience for actuaries from all over the world.
